What If Everything You're Chasing Isn't Actually What You Want?
You've been working toward it for years.
The title. The income. The business. The recognition. The life that looks right from the outside and earns a particular nod from a range of people whose approval you've quietly been wanting.
So why does something still feel off?
Here's the question most people are too busy, too proud, or too scared to ask:
Whose version of success are you actually living?
The Success You Didn't Choose
You get the promotion or the new job and it feels good. The income feels good and the achievement and the goal gets ticked. There's a moment of satisfaction.
And then the goalposts move again automatically. Because if the thing you were chasing didn't quite fill the "feel good gap, then maybe the next thing will.
Surface deep success is exhausting precisely because it works. You hit the targets. You build the thing, but very little of it touches the part of you that was hoping it would.
Until something stops you. You hear, very clearly, the question you've been drowning out for years.
Is this actually it?
The Harder Question
Success isn't the problem. Undefined success is.
So here's what I want to leave you with. Not "what do you want to achieve?" You've got a list for that don't you?
The real question I want to ask is this:What do you want your life to feel like?
What would have to be true for you to feel genuinely, quietly satisfied. Not just accomplished?
Those answers are the real foundation. Everything built without them is just impressive scaffolding around an empty space.

Where to Start
Twenty minutes. A quiet space. Honesty.
Write down what success means to you right now. Then ask: did I choose this, or did I absorb it?
That gap between your inherited definition and your intentional one isn't something to be ashamed of. It's an invitation from me and it's worth accepting.
